Associations is an iterative print publishing project born of collaboration between myself [Darian Razdar] and an invited artist.

By privileging simplicity and urgency, each issue of Associations is made within a single day of collaboration — drawing on each artist’s body of work. No two Associations are the same; the process by which I guide each is determined by the unique factors of the invited artist’s talents, desires, and process.

The series starts in November 2023 with Associations no. 1 — a zine featuring experimental photographer Danielle Goshay, including images by the both of us and a poem we wrote collaboratively in dialogue with our images. -Publisher
