One of the Dozens: Performance Art in Los Angeles, (202 pages full-color), is the fourth art book produced and curated by PraxinoscopeX, completing its 2022 PerformX Dox series. The book documents, dithers, and comments upon twelve duets by twenty-two artists presented on December 8, 2022 at Beyond Baroque Center for Literary Arts in Venice, California. In addition, the book contains “Performance Instructions and Provocations” derived from theme and substance of each of the artworks, inspired by similar participatory texts created by Yoko Ono and Julio Cortazar.

PraxinoscopeX is a Los Angeles-based collective of performing artists which curates boundary-defying projects. Since its inception in 2022, PraxinoscopeX has curated ten live group exhibitions, showcased the talents of over one hundred diverse artists from different disciplines, produced twenty-four podcast episodes, crafted six broadside poet-artist poster collaborations, and published four books along with its companion writing on Substack, all documenting its interdisciplinary performances that have included poetry, song, experimental music, dance, prose, comedy, performance art, one-act plays, and short films. -Publisher
