Thomas Baldischwyler (*1974) works with a variety of media. These include music, film, photography and artistic genres such as collage, painting and installation. He uses references to cultural-historical events that are intended to provide a different understanding of the subjective framework of historiography. His works have been shown in numerous national and international solo and group exhibitions. In 2010, he received the Prize for Conceptual Strategies from the Westfälischer Kunstverein Münster and in 2017 the Hamburg Edwin Scharff Prize. After longer residencies in Basel, Rome and Venice, he has been living and working in the northern German metropolis again since 2022, where he runs his artist record label Travel By Goods, among other things. -Publisher
