The Blue of Devon is a staple bound artist book by Erica Van Horn, published by Boekie Woekie in 2013. The book is a chronicle of Van Horn’s collection of curious blue vessels known as “blue of devon” which were working class souvenirs during the early 20th century. The small blue objects, often carved into with the name of a particular tourist destination, can now be found at second hand stores in Europe. The Blue of Devon is both the story of the object and a reflection of Van Horn’s curious and sensitive eye. Included in the book are images from Van Horn’s collection and writing about the pieces.
