Invited to participate in a trip organized by the Alternative Museum, fifteen artists, writers and curators from diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds traveled to Israel’s Occupied Territories in the Spring of 1989. This is the catalog that along with the exhibition documents their experiences and responses to the political situation they witnessed first hand. It also includes essays by G. Roger Denson, Geno Rodriguez, The People of Beit Sahour, Jay Murphy, Ken Bloom, Noam Chomsky, Gadi Goldfarb, Derek Guthrie, and Karen White. The artists in the exhibition were Terry Berkowitz, Bill Biggart, Magda Dajani, David Donihue, Ming Fay, Gadi Goldfarb, Tom Hays, Marylu Meibers, Yong Soon Min, John Morita, Tariq Abu Sammie, Jos Sances, Coreen Simpson, Deborah Wills, and the Break the Silence Mural Project, San Francisco.
