Onomatopee
Location: Eindhoven, The Netherlands
Onomatopee playfully frames and manifests our progressive capacity to design culture through collaborations between architects, urban planners, graphic and spatial designers, cultural critics, marketers, artists and politicians. Each project consists of an exhibition at the project-space in Eindhoven, forming a durable and tangible experience, and a publication, distributed globally, that gives context to artist’s and viewer’s imaginations. Onomatopee mediates between professionals and the general public, interconnecting people’s perspectives and professions. The organization has three modes of production working; The Research Projects are self-initiated projects; NEST projects thematically introduce new local art and design talents and Cabinet Projects are artistic and production collaborations with other institutions or individuals critically enacting playfulness.
