Dundun is a collection of two zines. One is 40 pages and the other is 90 pages. Both explore a stool called a Dundun that is particular to the residents of Dameng in China. In one zine Zijun gives the reader the cultural context of the dundun:
“This zine is about Dundun–a distinctive type of homemade stool crafted by the residents of Dameng Community in Henan Province, which is a resettlement housing complex built for residents displaced by demolition…Wrapped in old fabrics from home, these remnants from their homeland are transformed into dunduns. Carrying dunduns, the villagers navigate the unfamiliar landscape of their new community, continuing their lives in Dameng Community.” - Excerpt from Dun Dun
